The members of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will meet in Kyiv the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Minister of Justice, as well as the heads of the opposition parties and ruling coalition parties, according to the PACE Communication Unit.
The committee, due to meet from 26 to 27 May, is expected to adopt two reports, one on the functioning of democratic institutions in Azerbaijan, and a second one on the functioning of democratic institutions in Europe and progress of the Assembly`s monitoring procedure, which will be a contribution to the debate on the state of democracy in Europe at PACE`s next session.
