The political leadership of Ukraine has not made any decision to send Ukrainian peacekeepers to Georgian-Abkhazian conflict area.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Defense Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov claimed this at presentation of “Ukraine – Peacemaking State” exhibition in Kyiv on Thursday.
Answering questions of journalists, the Minister noted there is a special international legal procedure for that.
Speaking about political consequences of the participation of Ukraine in settling the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, Yuri Yekhanurov noted that the Defense Ministry does not consider expediency of decisions but fulfills orders of the Commander-in-Chief.
At the same time, the Minister believes Ukrainian military men have a great experience and are ready to fulfilling peacemaking tasks in any regions of the world.
