A regular group of Ukrainian peacemakers, who fulfilled tasks of the UN Mission in Liberia, arrived in Ukraine from the African continent within frames of a regular ninth rotation on Wednesday.

According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s press-service, 104 peacemakers headed by lieutenant colonel Vitaliy Lytvynov arrived in the Lviv airport by “Douglas” plane, leased by the Ukrainian Aircraft Transport Company, belonging to the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

The 56th detached helicopter squadron of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been fulfilling UN Mission tasks in Liberia since January 2004. The total number of peacemakers serving in the squadron is 300.
