The Khmelnytskiy nuclear power plant cut off both its reactors from the country’s energy grid.

      According to the plant’s communication unit, the first reactor was cut off for a scheduled capital repair at 22.56 on June 20. At present the reactor is kept in a “cool halting” regime.

      The second reactor was cut off by automatic protection system, which responded to an excessive vibration of bearings, at 5.46 a.m. on June22. A repair is underway.
