Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Hrytsenko claims that he agreed to stay on the post of the Defense Minister in the new government to continue developing the Ukrainian army.
According to the press-service of the Defense Ministry, Anatoliy Hrytsenko said this, commenting on his decision to head the Defense Ministry in the new government.
“The decision to accept this position was not simple for me. I made it, considering the processes that were taking place during the last months in our state”, he said.
“The key factor for me to agree to become a Minister in the government of the former opponent of Victor Yushchenko is the responsibility, for the results of the work, which was carried out in the Defense Ministry during a year and a half, became irreversible, to finish the processes that were begun”, he said.
