Ukraine exported 486.000 tonnes of maize in June

In June, maize export from Ukraine increased by 5% and totaled 486.300 tonnes, reported IA APK-Inform referring to the customs data, according to AgriMarket.

Turkey, which imported 102.100 tonnes of grain, was the leader among other buyers of the Ukrainian maize. Russia (almost 67.000 tonnes), Italy (57.200 tonnes), Poland (51.600 tonnes) and Greece (41.900 tonnes) also bought large parties of grain.

In total, during nine months of 2007/08 MY, Ukraine exported 1.6 mln tonnes of maize against 1.02 mln tonnes during the same period of 2006/07 MY.
