Most probably, Ukraine and Russia to sign gas agreement for 2009 in December - expert

Chief of Energy Studies Center Kostyantyn Borodin forecasts that the agreement on natural gas supplies to Ukraine in 2009, most probably, will be signed with Russia in December, after the NATO Summit.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, K.Borodin, claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv.

“The agreement with Russia for the year 2009 will be signed in December, after the NATO Summit, and the price will depend on the outcome of the Summit [whether Ukraine will join the NATO Membership Action Plan or not – UNIAN]”, K.Borodin said.

The expert also forecasts that the natural gas price for Ukraine in 2009 may grow up from US $179.5 for a thousand cu m to US $450.
