The Kyiv Appeal Economic Court commissioned subjects of cinematographic activities, willing to obtain film distribution licenses, to dub or subtitle all foreign films in Ukrainian.

According to the information of the Prosecutor’s General Office press-service, “after the Prosecutor’s General Office interfered into the situation, the Provision on State License on Right to Distribute Foreign Films was brought in compliance with the ruling of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine of December 20, 2007”.

Thus, the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine canceled the provision of the Cabinet of Ministers of 2006 “On Some Aspects of Films Distribution Procedure”, and commissioned cinematographic subjects, willing to obtain licenses for films distribution, to dub (or subtitle) all foreign films in Ukrainian.
