Govt to initiate hearing on Ukraine’s joining WTO
Yanukovych says Ukraine must join WTO “deliberately"
The government has intent to initiate parliamentary and public hearing on Ukraine’s joining the World Trade Organization.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych claimed this, opening the today’s session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
He ordered chiefs of Ministries and departments to work out a system mechanism of discussing the issue of Ukraine’s joining WTO with the public, as well as commodity producers.
Victor Yanukovych stressed that Ukraine must join WTO “deliberately”. At the same time, he pointed out that the government is due to make a decision on joining the organization in 2006.
