First open jewelry auction was held in Ukraine

First open jewelry auction in Ukraine results in sale of jewelry at 600,000 UAH, NCRU reports. It was organized at the Ukrainian Inter-bank Stock Exchange by the Finance Ministry together with the State Depository of Precious Metals and Stones.

      According to Director of the State Depository of Precious Metals and Stones Anatoliy Shvachko the price of the sold accessories started at 290,000 UAH. Thus as many as 420,000 UAH will be raised for the budget, he noted. He also stressed that prices for platinum, gold and silver bullion have dropped by 10 to 15% versus those, offered by Ukrainian banks. The next auction, slated for September will involve participation of foreign citizens, Anatoliy Shvachko asserted.
