President of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Medvedev believes that the decrees of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko regulating the movement of the Russian Black Sea fleet in the Ukrainian territory are nothing but emotions.

According to Itar-Tass, D.Medvedev claimed this in Dushanbe today.

“The problems of fleet must be solved on basis of two legal facts. The first fact is a signing of a special agreement on the fleet”, D.Medvedev said. The Russian President stressed that any international agreement has more effect than any decrees of a local power.

“Secondly, the Black Sea fleet is an integrated part of the Russian Armed Forces, which are subordinate to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Everything else are emotions, and I don’t want to comment on them”, D.Medvedev said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on August 13, 2008, after Russian Black Sea fleet ships left for the zone of the Caucasian conflict, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko adopted a procedure of crossing the Ukrainian state borders by Russian military men, battle ships and aircraft which stay at the Ukrainian territory.
