Yulia Tymoshenko wins nomination “For Woman’s Courage”

Yulia Tymoshenko became leader in nomination “For Woman`s Courage and Unbelievable Purposefulness” of TV Channel 5. The prize, a statuette, was handed to the Prime Minister who attended the solemn celebration of the channel’s fifth anniversary, according to the government’s press-office.
In her speech, Yulia Tymoshenko stated that Channel 5 was and remains a model of objectivity and, even, reminded that Channel 5 sometimes compared with CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera.
The Prime Minister reminded the autumn of 2004 and emphasized deciding role of channel 5 which had covered the Orange Revolution events in Ukraine. “Maydan was real, Yulia Tymoshenko said, due to your achievements as well”.
“Embassies of all countries of the world learned and learn a real situation in the state on your Channel 5,” the PM stressed.
Yulia Tymoshenko noted that she always switched television set on channel 5. At the time and now she always watches news on Channel 5. “At any case this is the only channel the program of which I remember: news every hour. Even the speech of President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko about the political situation around coalition I watched on TV Channel 5,” the Prime Minister noted.
Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that real professional, sincere and sentimental people are working on the channel, whose hearts are heavy for the country, for its destiny, for democracy. She also promised that everything will be good in the country.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine congratulated all employees of Channel 5 on anniversary and thanked them for existence of such channel in Ukraine.
