Yanukovych: Ukraine must join WTO

Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych is convinced that Ukraine must join the World Economic Organization and become a partner of Europe as a strong, economically independent state.

      According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych claimed this, speaking at the opening of the second session of the Verkhovna Rada of the fifth convocation.

      Victor Yanukovych stressed that Ukraine’s joining WTO is an important task.

“Our government sets itself a firm task to gradually lead Ukraine into the World Trade Organization, as it corresponds to the interests of Ukraine”, Victor Yanukovych said, adding that the sooner this process is finished, the better is for Ukraine.
