The Ukrainian central bank offered to trade on Monday dollars at 5.80-5.85 hryvnias and euros at 7.40-7.46 hryvnias, according to Reuters data.

This is the first time it has offered buy-sell rates for the euro and the third day running for the dollar. Previously, the bank has intervened only through selling or buying a currency.

The central bank has been intervening every day in the past two weeks to strengthen the hryvnia from a historic low reached last week of 7.2 to the dollar. On Monday, it was quoted at 5.85-5.92.
