The Armed Forces of Ukraine becomes center of stability in conditions of the financial crisis.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Defense Minister Yuri Ekhanurov said this as a result of the broadened session of the board of the Defense Minister of Ukraine, which takes place in Kyiv.
Y. Ekhanurov noted the necessity to apply maximum efforts for protection of the state defense order and military budget for the next year in the conditions of the financial crisis.
He explained that the Armed Forces will be practically financed at 9.4 billion hryvnias this year and in the conditions of inflation it is less than in 2007.
At the same time Y. Ekhanurov said that in spite of complication of the economic situation in the state, the Defense Ministry succeeds in preserving the work places in its companies.
