Position aired in Brussels regarding NATO fully coincides with the position of Parliament coalition members of which constitute the Government. This was informed by Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych while answering journalists’ questions in Luhansk, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“It was not merely my position but the Party’s and Parliament coalition’s. This was defined at the Universal – NATO accedence according to referendum’s results - and we didn’t change our minds,” stressed Head of the Government.
Viktor Yanukovych also reminded that the idea of joining NATO is supported by 12 to 25 % of Ukraine’s population. “I’d like to ask those politicians making vivid statements: how we can build state politics apart from our people,” emphasized Viktor Yanukovych.
