President Victor Yushchenko, Ukraine’s Commander in Chief, has arrived in Mykolayiv oblast to attend a military exercise “Clear Sky 2006”, according to the President`s press-office.
He will watch it together with Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko, other leaders of the Defense Ministry, military diplomats and students of the Defense Academy.

The Head of State believes it is important to maintain and develop the country’s defense capabilities, particularly by conducting military exercises, introducing NATO standards and promoting the national armed forces as an integral element of the world’s global security.
