RF to reduce energy export to Ukraine, Belarus, Baltics

The energy holding Unified Energy System of Russia will reduce energy export to Ukraine, Belarus, the Caucasus and the Baltic states in winter time, the holding CEO, Anatoly Chubais, said on Friday, according to Itar-Tass.

“At present, Russia faces extreme shortage of energy capacities. We have to take all necessary measures to use effective capacities in autumn and winter to the most,” he said.

“We’ll introduce changes to our export-import policy, minimizing export and maximizing import,” Chubais said.
