President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko is sure that the world crisis will make looking at prospects of EU`s enlargement differently.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the head of the Ukrainian state said this, delivering a speech in Prague before the participants of European Bank and Financial Forum, representatives of business and financial circles of Czech Republic.
V. Yushchenko expressed an opinion that as a result of the financial crisis other players will bring to the forefront in the world, “but not Europe”. According to his opinion, Europe should think about forming the united policy in different spheres of economics, including the energy and gas spheres.
V. Yushchenko reminded that integration into the European Union – one of the biggest world markets – is a strategic goal for Ukraine.
At the same time he underlined that Ukraine is extremely interested in development of economic relations with Russia.
