The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has commissioned respective departments, when forming proposals concerning the volumes of state order on some specialists, to curtail or significantly reduce the number of people enrolled to higher educational establishments on certain specialities.
The respective resolution “On Particularities of Forming the State Order for Training Specialists and Scientific-Educational Sphere Workers in 2009” (#416-r of April 14) was posted at the government’s web site.
The Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Education and Science, and other central executive power institutions, which control higher educational establishments, were commissioned not to stipulate any state order for training the following specialists:
- associates in the spheres of tourist services, hairdressing and decorative cosmetics, decorative and applied arts, photography, organization of hotel services, organization of restaurant services, production and exploitation of video, audio-equipment and film projector units.
- Bachelors in the sphere of informational activities and documentation, tourism, decorative and applied arts, hotel and restaurant services, advertising and PR (in the mentioned-above spheres).
