Military parade to take place in Kyiv on Independence Day

Defense Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov claims that a military parade will take place in Kyiv on the Independence Day, but its format will depend on the decision of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this to journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday.

“A parade will take place. What – it is up to the Senior Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces President Victor Yushchenko to decide”, the Defense Minister pointed out.

Yuri Yekhanurov specified he hopes to agree the format of the parade during his joint visit with the President to the Khmelnytskiy Oblast on May 8.
