President Victor Yushchenko met with players of Donetsk Shakhtar FC to congratulate them on winning UEFA Cup 2009 and award them with national decorations, according to the President`s press-office.
“You have shown skill, of which the world of sport will be proud for many years. I can truly say that I had never seen anything like this before”, - said Victor Yushchenko talking to the football players.
He also thanked Shakhtar FC president Rinat Akhmetov for his devotion to the project and chief coach Mircha Luchesku for his brilliant work.
