On January 17-23, Ukrainian prosecutors, together with other law enforcement agencies, exposed 12 state officials, local government reps and managers of SOEs upon obtaining an unlawful benefit, according to Andriy Lysenko, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) of Ukraine.

"The bribes vary from UAH 4,000 to $300,000," he told a Kyiv briefing Jan 24.

"These figures have been already supported by specific court rulings, where the prosecutor's office successfully defended the interests of the state," Lysenko said.

Moreover, thanks to the prosecutor's offices in Kyiv and Sumy region, in support of the position of the prosecutor's office, the courts handed down rulings to return to the state and territorial communities property and funds worth UAH 28 million.
