The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to sack Yuri Pavlenko from the post of the Minister for Family, Youth, and Sports.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 241 out of 444 lawmakers, registered in the chamber, voted for this.

Yuri Pavlenko stressed that yesterday he was forced to repeatedly turn to VR chairman Oleksander Moroz with a demand to consider in parliament the issue of his resignation from the post of the Minister.

According to him, he cannot work in the government because his stance remains the same, and he was appointed to the government when the National Unity Pact was signed and matter concerned creating the National Unity Coalition.

Yuri Pavlenko pointed out that it did not happen, and People’s Union Our Ukraine party joined opposition. Under these conditions, he decided to resign.
