Fourth reactor of Zaporizhzhya NPP halted

The fourth reactor of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant was halted for a scheduled repair at 00.14 a.m. today. UNIAN was told about this at the State Nuclear-Regulating Committee of Ukraine.

The repair, during which a fresh nuclear fuel will be loaded into the reactor, will last till 2 March.

As of today, 12 out of 15 reactors operate at Ukrainian nuclear power plants. In addition to the fourth reactor of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, repairs are being conducted at the second reactor of the Khmelnytskiy NPP and the third reactor of the South-Ukrainian NPP.
