Yushchenko urges Sikorsky Aircraft to work in Ukraine
President has met with Sergey Sikorsky
Victor Yushchenko has met with Sergey Sikorsky, co-founder of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, according to the President`s press-office.
They spoke about how to build closer ties between SAC and Ukraine’s aircraft designers. The President said their powerful technological and industrial potential created favorable conditions for starting the company’s business in our country.
“I think it is historically unfair that no helicopters or their spare parts are manufactured in Ukraine, although there are all conditions for that. We have aircraft companies, production capabilities, good professionals and good traditions,” he said.
Mr. Yushchenko also confirmed his desire to open an Igor Sikorsky museum in Kyiv.
