Turkmenistan owes nearly 30 million dollars to the Sumske research-and-production enterprises named after Frunze.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov claimed this in a live interview with “Era” radio today.

He stressed that the Ukrainian delegation, which left for Turkmenistan yesterday to talk over the gas supplies, will also raise this question.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Turkmenistan claimed that the debt of Ukraine for gas made nearly 150 million dollars.

Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has not received not a single cubic meter of the Turkmen natural gas. Turkmen authorities state that this is connected with Ukraine’s arrears for gas, as well as with the fact that Ukraine does not have any agreement with “Gazprom” on the gas supplies to Ukraine.

Ukraine signed an agreement with Turkmenistan, in line with which the latter undertook to supply to Ukraine in 2006 40 billion cubic meters at $50 for 1 thousand cubic meters in the first half-year, and at $60 50 for 1 thousand cubic meters in the second half-year.
