Ukraine forbade poultry import from Hungary
Due to avian flu
Ukraine forbade poultry import from Hungary due to an outburst of avian flu in this country.
According to the State Veterinary Medicine Department, in line with the official notification of the International Epizootic Bureau, the avian flu was registered at the territory of Hungary.
In this connection, chief state veterinary inspector of Ukraine Ivan Bisiuk issued an order on 25 January, forbidding to import poultry products from Hungary to Ukraine.
According to the information of the State Veterinary Medicine Department, the virus was discovered at the southeast of the country, where three thousand geese died.
