Ukraine to increase volumes of Uzbek gas import

Ukraine is going to increase the volumes of Uzbek gas import, and to participate in the reconstruction of Uzbek gas networks.

      According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych claimed this after the session of the seventh joint commission for collaboration.

      According to him, as of today, the share of Uzbek gas in the total of the Ukraine’s natural gas import from Middle Asia makes up nearly 2 billion cubic meters.

      “Without any doubt, this volume is not big for Ukraine, and we would like to increase it”, the Prime Minister noted.

      According to the information of Victor Yanukovych, this year Uzbekistan exports, on the whole, 20 billion cubic meters of gas to different countries.
