Spring crops covered 1.89 ha

As for March 23, 2007, Ukrainian farms sowed spring crops on the acreage of 1.9 mln ha, or 10% of the plan, according to APK-Inform.

      According to press-service of Ministry of Agrarian Policy, early grains and legumes covered the area of 1.7 mln ha (32%), including spring wheat - 116.000 ha (24%), barley - 1.4 mln ha (34%), rapeseeds - 11.000 ha (8%).

      At that, the farmers carried out the additional nutrition of the winter crops on 4.1 mln ha (59%).

      According to Ministry of Agrarian Policy, this year acreage under grains and legumes would be 14.8 mln ha.
