President promotes family values

Victor Yushchenko has wished Ukrainians a happy Family Day, according to the President’s press-office.

The Head of State said the government spared no effort to create favorable conditions for families: “We must reliably protect family, motherhood and childhood - the three values that make the world go round.” 

The President said Ukrainians had always been generous, hospitable and hard-working and always had lasting marriages.

“A personality matures in family where national, cultural and social values and traditions are passed on from one generation to another,” he said.

Mr. Yushchenko wished all families love, health and prosperity: “I sincerely wish you all good health, peace, and family well-being.”
