President leaves for drought-hit regions

To work out solutions to their problems

Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Slauta, Agriculture Minister Yuriy Melnyk and Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Bondar, President Victor Yushchenko has left for a one day trip to Ukraine’s drought-hit regions, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv and Kherson, according to the President`s press-office.

The president is scheduled to meet with the heads of farming companies from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kirovograd, Lugansk, Mykolayiv, Odesa and Kherson to work out solutions to their problems, caused by last month’s severe drought.
