The delegation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine headed by Minister Mykola Rudkovsky will visit Brussels on 11 June, according to the Mission of Ukraine to European Communities.

According to a visit programme the Ukrainian delegation will hold meetings with: Mr. Jacques Barrot, Vice-President of the European Commission, in charge of transport, Mr. Edgar Thielmann, Director of the Directorate-General “Energy and Transport” and Mr. Constantin Synadino, Head of Lending Operations in Russia, Eastern Europe & Southern Caucasus, European Investment Bank.

During the meetings the sides will discuss bilateral cooperation for further developments of the Pan-European Transport Corridors, notably the Pan-European Transport Corridor No 7 through the river of Danube, future framework for cooperation between the EU and Ukraine on extensions of the major Trans-European Transport axes across Ukraine, as well as Ukraine’s activities for maritime safety, including recognition of Ukraine’s Shipping Register. Furthermore, attention will be focused on financial means to back transport projects by EIB loans.
