If the parliamentary election took place this Sunday, four political forces would enter the Verkhovna Rada – the Party of Regions, BYuT, Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defense, and the Communist Party of Ukraine.

These are the results of an all-Ukrainian poll, publicized in UNIAN today by Valeria Zhovtianska, chief research officer of the Laboratory for Social and Political Processes Monitoring, chief of the Social-Psychological Technologies Laboratory Pavlo Frolov, and director of the Institute for Social and Political Psychology Mykola Sliusarevskiy.

According to the results of the poll, some 28.5% of those polled are ready to vote for the Party of Regions, some 20.3% - for the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, Our Ukraine-People’s Self Defense would receive some 11.6% of the votes, and the Communist Party of Ukraine – some 5.3%.

Besides, the People’s Party of Volodymyr Lytvyn has a chance to overcome the 3% barrier, as it would receive some 2.8% of the votes.

The Socialist Party of Oleksander Moroz would receive some 2% of the votes.

Other parties would receive less than 2% of the votes. Another some 11.8% of those polled have not decided as yet for which party to vote, some 7.3% will not take part in the election, and some 4.5% will vote against all.

The poll was carried out during July 14-25 June, 2007. More than 27 thousand respondents were interviewed in all the regions of Ukraine. The error margin makes 0.6%.
