In Sympheropol, activists of Communist Party of Ukraine held an action against carrying out the measures in Crimea on occasion of Golodomor (Great Famine) in Ukraine in 1932-1933.
According to the press service of the Crimean Republican Committee of CPU, the action of the communists took place at Lenin’s Square in front of the building of the Crimean Council of Ministers.
“All measures in Ukraine, initiated by President of V. Yushchenko, connected with the 75th –anniversary of the so-called Golodomor in reality do not come out from historical truth, but it is political speculations on the special order of the USA”, said communists.
According to the first secretary of the Simpheropol Communist Party Committee Volodymyr Lysenko, “high Ukrainian officials turn around historical facts in order to drive a wedge between Ukrainians and Russians, because they point out exactly into Moscow as the main guilty of the allegedly specially organized Golodomor in Ukraine in 1932-33”. “ In reality, and it is proved with documents, the Golodomor was in the Soviet Union in that period because of hard climatic conditions. It was not only in Ukraine, but also in Povolzje and Kazakhstan.
This fact may be confirmed with one of the documental evidences of those times: in line with a USSR People’s Commissioner Council resolution, a grant-in-aid was paid to people – 16 million poods of the seed fund”, reads the report of the press service of the Crimean CPU.
“If, as representatives of the orange forces now state, the so-called genocide reallt took place, for what reasons the Soviet officials took care of famished Ukrainians and took such decisions?”. said V. Lysenko. At the same time, he paid attention to the fact that the idea of “Golodomor” for the world community was “given by Washington” more than 25 years ago.
