A 55-year old woman fell into a 22 meters deep well in Shmarovka village of the Ulyanovsk region of the Kyrovograd Oblast. She got just several little scratches and was lifted on the surface by rescuers.
Major Mykola Leskiv, assistant of the Emergency Ministry`s Oblast Department chief, disclosed this to an UNIAN correspondent.
According to his words, the woman stayed in the water for about 20 minutes, until a fellow villager, who came for the water, noticed her. Fire – rescue service and emergency employees arrived to the scene. The woman was lifted from the well, which is 1.5 meters wide, by means of strips. Doctors diagnosed an exposure and a light hurt of her limbs. The injured woman didn’t need any hospitalization.
