120 employees of “Mittal Steel Kryvy Rih” steel mill and 60 employees of the Nikopolskiy Ferroalloy Plant will take part in a protest action against the rise of gas and electrical energy tariffs for the population. The action was scheduled by the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine for tomorrow, 24 May, in Kyiv. Chief of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast trade unions association Vitaliy Dubil claimed this to a press conference in Dnipropetrovsk today.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said that, on the whole, 1.7 workers from industrial cities of the region will take part in the action.
In addition, V.Dubil disclosed that the local trade unions association financed a special train to convey the protesters to Kyiv. Besides, 33 buses with workers will leave for Kyiv tomorrow.
