The liquidators of the Lviv Oblast toxic spill were not diagnosed a “poisoning with products of phosphorus”, as no phosphorus was discovered in their blood.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Emergency Minister Nestor Shufrych claimed this to a session of the Lviv Oblast Council today.

Commenting on the statement of Yuri Lutsenko, who said that as if the firemen were proposed money to refuse from this diagnosis, the Minister said: “This really offends me. On the other hand, Yuri Lutsenko could arrive himself from Greece to the scene of the toxic catastrophe, to get sure that there is no danger”.

At the same time, according to the Lviv Oblast State Administration Health Department chief Igor Gerych, 99 people were discharged from hospital with diagnosis of a “poisoning with phosphorus fumes”.

According to him, 81 people (including 11 children), suffered as a result of the catastrophe, stay in hospital as of today.
