Ukraine to reduce number of its peacemaking contingent in hot spots

Ukraine will gradually reduce the number of its peacemaking contingents in hot spots.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, acting Defense Minister of Ukraine Leonid Poliakov disclosed this to journalists today.

According to him, the number of military men, fulfilling the peacemaking mission in Iraq, will gradually reduce to 50 people. They will mostly help local power bodies regulate the situation.

The number of peacemakers in Afghanistan, where 1 Ukrainian is serving now, may increase to 10 people.
