Nearly 500 representatives of trade unions are carrying out a rally in front of the Cabinet of Ministers building, protesting against the rise in prices on communal and utility services.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, they are standing near the central entrance of the government building, holding flags of the Federation of trade Unions of Ukraine, the Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers, the Communist Party of Ukraine, and the state flags of Ukraine.
Representatives of trade unions from different Oblasts of Ukraine are delivering speeches through loud-speakers in the Mariyinskiy park near the government building. They are asking the officialdom to think not only about their “warm, conditioned cabinets”, but also about ordinary people, who will have now to pay a new price for communal services, while their salaries do not grow.
