Ukraine to cancel value added tax for grains import

According to Vice-Prime Minister Victor Slauta, Ukrainian Government initiates cancellation of VAT for grains import. According to him, currently Ministry of Agrarian Policy together with Secretariat of President is working out the project of this document, according to APK-Inform.

According to Slauta, at present, they negotiate about grains import to Ukraine from Kazakhstan and Belarus.

As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian Government registered in Verkhovna Rada a draft of law proposing to establish zero import tax for wheat and rye till June 30, 2008.

Let us remind you that in Ukraine import taxes for wheat are 40 EUR/t and for rye - 20 EUR/t.
