President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claims that Ukraine needs an efficient anti-corruption plan.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this today presenting his anti-corruption initiatives at the coordinating session of law-enforcement agencies chiefs.
“It is impossible to live in his corruption, the country cannot develop”, Victor Yushchenko stressed.
He called on law-enforcement agencies to abstain from politics.
The President stressed that it has always been difficult to serve in law-enforcement bodies. Victor Yushchenko stressed that it is a difficult work, which needs a colossal professionalism and patriotism.
Victor Yushchenko emphasized that some representatives of law-enforcement agencies did not pass the exam of honesty. He expressed a regret that law-enforcement bodies are dragged into the politics. “You became a mechanism of corrupted power”, Victor Yushchenko said, adding that this is an heritage of previous years.
He called on law-enforcement agencies to immediately respond to all illegal actions, which will help to return the trust to them.
