Parliament member of the Verkhovna Rada of the 5th convocation, a Party of Regions leader Taras Chornovil is convinced that Ukraine may become a target for terrorists when it enters NATO. He said this in the air of “Vinnytchyna” TV-Radio Company.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, T. Chornovil stressed that any new country, joining NATO, becomes a target for terrorists, and “NATO can not protect them”.
“Speaking about NATO, we think that this membership is not necessary for Ukraine.
The entrance to NATO means a conflict with Russia, as well as with all world terrorist organizations”, he said.
T. Chornovil believes that Ukraine has no foreign enemies, with which an armed conflict may take place. “Nobody is going to attack us, but NATO does not protect from criminals, drug mafia and terrorism”, he added.
