The gas price for Ukraine will grow regardless of the format of the future coalition. “New Energy of Ukraine” Alliance chairman Valeriy Borovyk claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, in particular, he said: “Regardless of whether there will be an orange or brown-blue coalition in Ukraine, Russia will increase the gas price for Ukraine in any case”, he said, listing the example of relations between Russia and Belarus.
At the same time, he did not rule out that the gas price may grow up to $180 for a thousand cubic meters, or even higher.
V.Borovyk is convinced that the future government must pursue a preemptive tactic.
“The government should itself propose Russia to rise the gas price to $180 for a thousand cubic meters. In this case, Ukraine will be able to raise the question of revising the price of gas transit for Russia by 2-2.5 times… I guess in the nearest days we will see that this scenario is quite real”, V.Borovyk said.
