President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko discussed with Russian businessman Victor Vekselberg the issues on compensation payment to victims of gas explosion in Dnipropetrovsk.
According to the press service of the head of the state, the meeting took place at the Secretariat of the President on V. Vekselberg’s initiative.
The President of Ukraine noted that he personally controls all issue, connected with tragedy.
The head of the state turned to V. Vekselberg with request to report on situation concerning the reparation of damages. V. Yushchenko also touched an issue on resumption of gas supply in Pobeda residential community, where the explosions took place.
In his turn, V. Vekselberg guaranteed, that the compensation payment in the amount of 500 thousand hryvnias will be provided to victims in Dnipropetrovsk regardless to the results and investigation terms of the reasons.
