The exhibition features 4,000 items from the famous Kyiv collector Oleksiy Sheremetyev’s 40,000-piece collection of weapons, uniforms, battle maps and photographs, orders, medals, decorations and other unique objects relating to Ukraine’s military history from the Crimean War of 1853–1856 to the Bolshevik coup and the Civil War of 1917-1920.

The collection of Sheremetyev, who works with a big team of historians, restorers, artists and archivists, is the country’s largest private military collection. The Bohomolets-Sheremetyev family plan to found a military museum in Ukraine.
