Some 8.5 million Ukrainians died during WWII
Today Ukraine marks the Day of Sorrow and Memory of the Second Wold war victims.
The Second World war began 65 years ago and took lives of 8.5 million Ukrainians. As early as at 4.00 a.m. the first bombs were thrown on the Ukrainian capital by Fascists.
The war between Germany and the Soviet Union lasted till 9 May 1945.
