Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that Government will successfully overcome inflation this year, according to the government’s press-office.
The Head of Government stated at press conference in Dnipropetrovsk.
“This year won’t see inflation shocks as the previous year did,” Yulia Tymoshenko is sure. The Head of Government noted that inflation increase, according to the results of the last year up to 17 percent, had been caused not by some objective reasons but because of ignorant policy.
The Prime Minister told that extremely important and significant component of measures in overcoming inflation which Government is taken, is coordination of the monetary policy between the Cabinet of Ministers and National Bank. “Between the Government and National Bank all necessary steps will be determined in the nearest future: what concerns the Government – the Government will fulfill, and what concerns the National Bank – the NBU will do,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.
At the same time, the PM noted that the Government had held a number of deliberations concerning a situation at food markets and markets of consumer goods, summing up every deliberation a decision on intervention, measures on demonopolization of these markets or struggle against unfair competitiveness had been taken.
