Two famous Eurovision entries from the last three years, Verka Serduchka and Ruslana, will both be special guests at the German National Final, which will be held on March 6 at the Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Frankfurt-Mainz, according to Eurovision Song Contest. Speaking to eurovision.de, NDR`s Ralf Quibeldey made the announcement, as welll as confirming that Germany will show just the semifinal in which their entry will sing.
Germany is of course automaticaly qualified to the final, due to their status as a mamber of the `Big 4`, and this year -- for the first time -- each of those counties, and the hosts, will broadcast one of the semifinals. Whichever semifinal Germany ends up in will also be the one in which German viewers can vote in.
Verka and Ruslana, who both represented Ukraine in 2007 and 2004 respectively, are said to be the `big names` that the German broadcaster was looking for to give some extra popularity to the show. Verka of course came second with the infamous ``Dancing lasha tumbai``, whilst Rulana went one better in Istanbul with ``Wild Dances``.
