Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated on ICTV channel that payments of Oshchadbank cash deposits, pensions and wages increase would not cause inflation, according to the government’s press-office.
“I can tell with confidence that Government is working at reduction of all inflation processes. And payments of deposits, pensions and wages increase won’t cause inflation,” Yulia Tymoshenko stated. At that, the Head of Government assured the citizens of pricing policy stability at consumer market. “Don’t worry, there will be stability and order in the country, including prices,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that statements of the politicians on inflation and rise in prices is just “struggle of the politicians against the Government”.
“The politicians, state-mongers and some leaders have demonstrated their incapacity and failure to increase pensions, wages, bursaries, return deposits and now they are showing “caterwaul”. They are crying of inflation, that everything is wrong. I want the people to understand that it is just struggle of the politicians against the Government,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.
According to Yulia Tymoshenko, the Government has proved that deposit repayment of former Oshchadbank depositors – “is not PR of political technologies before elections but it can be really introduced into life”.
Commenting on the situation concerned with lines during registration and deposit repayments, the Prime Minister noted: “Today everybody is complaining of long lines – for 17 years we had no lines because nobody paid sums. Lines – is discredit upon all previous governments”.
Profiting by the occasion, Yulia Tymoshenko expressed gratitude to the leadership and personnel of Oshchadbank for selfless work. “They have endured strain. I want to say that today they are stronger in the country than any politicians in the Parliament, well done. I think the people who are receiving sums should also thank them for selfless work,” the Head of Government said.
